Poppy Appeal Raises Money
The sale of Royal British Legion poppies at the shop raised 58,30€ and the committee agreed to send 100€ to the Royal British Legion representative in Bordeaux.
Pumpkins raise money
Peter Aldous sold his home grown pumpkins for charity and raised 83€ for Bon Coeur
Major allocation to good causes

Bon Coeur at MacMillan Coffee Morning
Friday 29/9/2017 was the annual MacMillan coffee morning at Crabières, Le Bugat, Bourg-de-Visa. A Bon Coeur team of Gilly and Keith, Marie, Dot, Charles and Brian ran a stand mainly selling clothes. 138,15€ was raised and was given to the organisers to be forwarded to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Bon Coeur at the Brocante
On Sunday 13/8/2017 the big annual Beauville brocante (car boot sale) was held on the Place du Carré. Bon Coeur welcomes Shakespeare
The London based touring acting troupe “Antic Disposition” was founded in 2005. They do a summer tour around the Dordogne and Lot valleys. Current Account receives no longer current currency
Our thanks to Haydn Burnham for the donation of a bag of obsolete coins and notes to Bon Coeur. There were 17 different currencies and after a count they were posted to a currency dealer who put 198,51€ into Bon Coeur’s bank account.

Gardening books on sale at Jardins Ouvert day
On Sunday 7/5 John Massey’s garden was open to the public as part of the national “Jardins Ouvert” scheme. They raise funds for “A Chacun son Everest” which is a charity supporting children recovering from cancer and leukaemia, and women recovering from breast cancer. On Monday 1/5 Bon Coeur held the annual Giant Book Sale in the Beauville Salle des Fetes from 10h to 17h. Also on sale were a collection of furniture, linen and refreshments. AGM 2017
On 27/3/17 at the AGM the committee was re-elected.
More money allocated to good causes
On 20/3/17 The committee agreed to allocate 2200€ of funds to good causes. This was in addition to 1750€ which the committee agreed by email and allocated during the winter.
